Our Purpose

The unprecedented Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) epidemic in West Africa highlighted the need for the establishment of a public health institute in Liberia, which supports national health delivery services. With the plan to revitalize health services in the country, it was essential for the Government of Liberia to establish a National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL).

Cremation Permit

A public health authorization issued by NPHIL for the safe and regulated cremation of human remains in Liberia, ensuring compliance with public health requirements and proper procedures.

How to Apply

Applicants submit the required form and supporting documents, including cause of death information. Cremation activities are conducted under Environmental Health Officer supervision.

Exhumation Permit

An official public health authorization issued by NPHIL to permit the lawful removal of human remains from a burial site. The process ensures proper documentation, safety measures, and compliance with public health requirements.

Restaurant Permit

Food Establishment Permit
